Dearest Diary,
Amaranth has taken such a like to the outdoors now that he’s aged up. Flamingo Rose and I are going to enrol him in the local Aelview Scouts. We think he’ll really love all their planned activities!
As for Raspberry, well, she’s shown an interest in dancing and asked us if she could sign up for after school classes. Flamingo had a little money put away so we decided to get her a barre for her room!
I cant wait to find out what little Apple Blossoms hobbies are once she grows up a little more!
With sugar on top,

Dearest Diary,
My little boy Amaranth had his birthday today - can you believe it? He finally got his wish and blew out his toddler candles and is now a child! And isn’t he handsome? We’re so proud!
Raspberry was super excited that she had someone else to play with more her age! I bet Stark’s going to be jealous!
Birthday cake forever,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
She’s finally here! Apple Blossom Scoop is the newest member of our family!
I went into labour when tending to our (sadly) slightly neglected garden. Before I knew it, my second little girl was in my arms! We are both doing well, thank you!
Newborn cuddles and coos,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Today was Raspberry’s first day of school! I hope the kids don’t give her too much trouble since her dad is one of the teachers. On second thought, maybe it’s good that there’s something to look out for her?
Stark is absolutely beside himself that his new best friend is no longer around during the day. It was a rainy morning and he just HAD to see her off! Sweetness, he was frantic!
I guess I’ll go and tuck Amaranth in for his afternoon nap…
Raindrops on windowsills,

Dearest Diary,
Oh my sweet! We had another fire last night! This time the fridge caught fire when Flamingo Rose (once again) attempted to cook something.
Raspberry was so scared, but luckily her dad leapt in and extinguished the flames before they could get too near. By the time I was woken up by the yells, the last embers were dying down. I must say, Flamingo Rose did a great job… he wouldn’t have leapt into action like that before the kids. Being a dad certainly brings out the protective side in him!
The Fire Department was there so quickly (well, the only live across the road) but thankfully all was already taken care of. And I must say, the Fireman was quite cute - a little too young, though!
No worse for wear,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
The vegetable garden has been growing well, but I must admit that these days Flamingo Rose and I have been focusing more on our little family than on the growth of our crops.
I know… we can’t slack off… we have bills to pay and two mouths to feed. Still, we need to make time for each other, right?
Still plucking feathers out of my hair from my pillow fight with Flamingo Rose,Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
A quick little entry, but I just wanted to say how pleased I am that my little kitty Stark and my little daughter Raspberry are becoming fast friends.
Now that Raspberry is old enought to appreciate the responsibility of having a pet, she and Stark have become inseperable! I just love watching the two of them!
Cute little cat whiskers,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
It was Raspberry Sweet Scoop’s birthday today. Can I tell you just how proud Flamingo Rose and I are of her?
Her transition from toddler to child was perfect in every way! We are so lucky to have a beautiful daughter like her! She was so easy to teach to walk, talk and go to the potty on her own. I just know she’ll be a successful child!
Amaranth wants his turn at blowing out the candles, but I told him he still has a little while to wait and a few more things to learn!
Birthday candles on top,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
As promised, Flamingo Rose took Amaranth out into the garden to teach him to walk! He did such an amazing job, too. He always manages to get the children to learn much faster than I do - that’s just his nature! I guess it’s a good thing he decided to be a teacher, too!
As for me, I was asked by the Aelview Fire Department to make a batch of hamburgers for their Annual Fireman’s lunch. I think I did a pretty good job, too. My cooking is pretty spectacular these days!
With a side of savoury,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Life is good. Today I was able to take my eldest little sweet out for a walk in the sun - she loved being in the stroller, too. Raspberry is so well behaved!
While I was out, Flamingo Rose decided to play with Amaranth since it was a weekend and he’d finished grading all his papers for his year two class. He tells me he’s going to start teaching our little boy to walk soon, how exciting! Pretty soon we’ll have two little toddlers causing sweet trouble!
Yours in the afternoon sun,
Marzipan Scoop

Dearest Diary,
After a long few days, it was finally time for little Amaranth Rose to age up into a toddler. Sweetness, I can’t tell you how relieved I was that the day was here!
Flamingo got all over-exuberant as always with the festivites! But, oh, Amaranth… he is such a little handsome man, too. Don’t you think?
Yours in pink,
Marzipan Scoop

Hi! I noticed in one of your posts that you have clouds! Is that natural or is that a mod you have? Big fan!
Thank you!!! It depends what photo you’re talking about - if you could link me to the photo in question, that would be more helpful!
If you’re talking about the Scoop Rainbowcy TS3 posts, I recently installed the Frozen Lighting Mod by brntwaffles!
If you mean the TS4 posts, well the clouds are natural :)
Dearest Diary,
I had a birthday today! I made the leap from Young Adult to just plain Adult! Not as sugar-coated, is it?
Still, Flamingo was joking about wrinkles and had to shut his mouth once he realised I hadn’t changed much after blowing out the candles! Luckily for him!
A slice of cake for you,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
It’s been a little while since I’ve written - but this pregnancy has been a little more bumpy than the first! But the baby is here now and everyone is happy and healthy - isn’t that the main thing?
Anyway, Flamingo Rose was NOT thrilled to be witness to the birth a second time around. The baby decided to come in the bathroom!
Thursday, October 23, 2014
Dearest Diary,
I suppose I’ll just come out with it - we’re going to have ANOTHER baby!
Flamingo and I were able to spend some time together while Raspberry slept, so I took it upon myself to break the news to him. He was surprised, but so happy!
Having Raspberry has been such a joy, and I know having a second baby will only times that by two!
Extra sugar on top,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Since Flamingo Rose taught Raspberry how to walk, I thought it was only fair that I got a turn and taught our little dessert how to TALK!
I wasn’t prepared for how hard it would be!
Not to mention, the two of us kept getting sidetracked by playing and cuddling! It was fun, though!
Worn out from Raspberry cuddles,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Be it night or day, Flamingo Rose is teaching Raspberry Sweet to walk!
Our yard is small, but there’s enough room for the two of them to practice. Raspberry is really picking it up, too!
My favourite thing to do these days is go out and garden and be able to watch their progress!
No doubt Raspberry will be chasing us around in no time!
Yours in pink these days,
Marzipan Scoop
Raspberry seemed to know what was happening even though she was too small to blow out the candles herself.
Flamingo and I were so excited to see just how much she’d grown, and who’s looks she’d inherit! We were both such proud parents as we watched our little girl grow up before our eyes!
Raspberry Sweet has her daddy’s hair and eye colour!
Dreading the terrible two’s,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
A fire started on our lot today! I could be so mad at Flamingo Rose - he tried to take it into his own hands to prepare a meal since I’ve been up all night with Raspberry - but I know he was only trying to help!
Once again, I, Marzipan Scoop the brave, was able to jump in quickly with the fire extinguisher and put out the flames. All Flamingo could do was scream as the flames attacked our humble little stove!
Luckily I had enough money squirrelled away to replace it!
And everyone is ok, so that’s the main thing!
Your brave sim,Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Now that I’m out of my maternity wear, I’m back into the garden and making sure all my plants are growing well once more!
Little Raspberry is doing just fine! She’s growing so fast, too! Faster than my lettuce!
The rains have also begun here in Aelview, so I’m looking forward to a nice big harvest soon. More simoleons means more expansions for our pink and white home!
Yours with extra syrup,
Marzipan Scoop

Dearest Diary,
I have such big news! The baby is here!
I went into labour late at night, and instead of getting all up-in-arms about it, Flamingo simply sat next to me on the bed and resumed reading his book!
….
Dearest Diary,
With the baby on its way so fast - Flamingo and I decided that we didn’t have time to have a big wedding. Even though we made the decision together, I was surprised to find him outside the house one morning with the ring!
We’re now married - Mr and Mrs Scoop! (We decided to keep my last name!)
Dearest Diary,
I’m feeling a lot better now - but guess what? I wasn’t sick, just pregnant. That’s right - Flamingo Rose and I are going to be parents!
I’m so excited to bring another sweet little dessert into our family.
Flamingo is excited, too. He’s going to quit his job at the fair and find something more stable for a father-to-be.
Spring time is beautiful. There couldn’t be a more perfect time to have a baby.
Extra sugar coated,
Marzipan Scoop

Dearest Diary,
Flamingo Rose and I are now engaged!
I haven’t written in a few days, I know, but hopefully this news will make up for it!
I didn’t have to wait long for his call - we set up a date only two days after our last. I was jittery with nerves once again (he gives me such butterflies!) and there he was, by the fountain at the park.
I was shocked when he pulled out a ring, but oh so happy, too! I couldn’t believe it… my dream was coming true so fast!
I know it may be a little too fast, diary, but it just feels so right. Flamingo is the first person I’ve felt safe with in a long time and we have so much fun! I can’t wait to start this new chapter of our lives together.
Still admiring the sweet-as-pie ring,
Marzipan Scoop
We then turned our attention towards a game of horseshoes, where I’m not afraid to admit that I whooped Flamingo’s butt!
Now that I’m home I’m going to attend to the garden (they’re blooming so beautifullly, diary!) and try not to check my phone every five minutes for a message from Flamingo!
Lots of little pink love hearts,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Our spring date was possibly more fun than the first!
Flamingo and I tested our compatability at the love machine, although I already knew that it would tell us we were a match made in heaven! I was absolutely delighted!
Flamingo turned more pink than usual when he told me he thought we were, too.
Our first date was such a success, diary! And we have another planned for the start of spring. I just cannot wait until the flowers begin to bloom!
Flamingo has a lot of work ahead of him dismantling the winter fair and setting up for the spring season, so hopefully we’ll be able to keep in touch a lot via phone until our next scheduled date!
Diary, I could not have hoped for more!
With cherries on top,
Marzipan Scoop

Dearest Diary,
It was late evening when I got the call from Flamingo - his cat Lucy finally had her litter of kittens!
Oh, I couldn’t wait to head over to the Pink House to meet the new babies!
Flamingo had just finished work when he let me inside. He even bowed like a proper gentleman.
"Are you ready to be bowled over by cuteness, Marzi?"
And bowled over I was! Lucy had two gorgeous little kittens (one was sleeping in Flamingo’s bedroom so I daren’t go and meet it until morning!)
Oh, how I wish I could adopt a friend for Stark… but until my garden gets going again this spring, I don’t think I could care for another little mouth.
But now I have another reason to visit the Pink House often!
A basket of brown, fluffy kittens,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Winter is almost over!
Does it seem strange to you that although my favourite colour is white, winter is not my favourite season? I certainly glow when out and about in the cold air, though, don’t I?
While I DO adore Winter and all it has to offer (ice-skating!! I’ll get to that in a heartbeat, I promise) I can’t wait to resume my garden and see what new plants I can bring to life.
The Winter Festival is still in full swing and I took it upon myself to try my legs at ice-skating this morning. The ice was wonderful - it makes the most beautiful sound as you skirt across its surface in your skates - and I soon learnt the basics.
If I ever get tired of gardening, Diary, I think I’d like to be a professional skater. An angel of the ice…
A handful of icy snowflakes just for you,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Since Stark aged up, we’ve been enjoy a lot of new things together such as playing with the swat-toy I had for him when he was adopted. As he was my first little kitty, I had no idea he was too young to play with it at the time. Now I can’t stop praising him for inviting me to play.
Second of all, he can now jump up on my bed and sleep alongside me! I can’t tell you just how much he enjoys it.
If Flamingo and I ever get married, I’m sure I’ll be a little downhearted there’ll be no room for Stark!
Oh, I almost forgot - he’s now looking so dapper in his new collar.
Loving the new whiskers,
Marzipan Scoop

Dearest Diary,
It was Stark’s birthday today!
My little rambunctious kitten aged up and he is just as handsome as ever.
It seems like only yesterday I adopted the little ball of sweetness from the shelter. He came to me a little piggy, but is now my best friend.
I can’t wait to learn more of his personality as he grows alongside me!
Yours sans furballs,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
While Flamingo Rose has been working, Cotton and I have been spending some quality girl time together!
What better way to bond than to build a man together? A snow man!
Cotton looked awfully cute in her little pink outfit. And although I think our classic snowman was a success, it was such a joy to turn him back to snow!
Yours in deep winter,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
With winter here, I’m able to focus on learning new skills indoors such as cooking. I think I’m getting the hang of it, too. No more burnt waffles!
It’s cold, but Stark and I still enjoy a quick stroll together in the backyard. It’s beautiful.
With the winter festival here now, Flamingo Rose has been working a lot. I haven’t been able to spend a lot of time with him, but I make sure he knows I’m thinking about him by sending him perfectly lovely love letters. I made sure they’re pink!
With only the freshest ingredients,
Marzipan Scoop
Despite the rain, I think my short and sweet visit to the fair on Spooky Day was successful, diary.
There weren’t many people about, but I managed to take home some of the wonderfully plump and orange pumpkins that were there!
Now I’ll be able to plant them once Spring comes around and cook all sorts of spicy, wonderful things!
Next Spooky Day, I’ll have more money to celebrate.
A wonderfully ghoulish evening to you,
Marzipan Scoop
Thursday, October 16, 2014
Dearest Diary,
Winter is setting in faster and faster. Sometimes the days are all orange and yellow with autumn, but then the night comes and all is white - just like me, I guess!I was happy to hear from Flamingo today. He had an evening off and wanted me to stop by his little pink house just up the street. It was the first time I’d visited and it couldn’t have been more sweet.
"I want you to meet my sister, Cotton Candy. We just call her ‘Cotton’, though."
"I would be sweetly delighted!"
Dearest Diary,
I got such a fright tonight. It’s a full moon and I forgot to lock the gate!
No, zombies didn’t eat my plants (thank goodness!) but little Stark had to go out and investigate the strange moaning and shuffling just by our little white box!
I ran out, quick as you can, to fetch him - avoiding not one but two zombie attacks! I got the little kitten inside, though, so it was all worth it.
From now on, I’ll be locking those gates…
With no added zombies,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
With winter approaching, I have to devote all my time to harvesting the plants I’ve grown. It’s been raining a lot, but I have to put on my hat and jacket (and gloves!) and just brave the weather. I think I’m getting a cold, too!
As for little Stark, he’s keeping me company wherever I go. He likes to think he’s a big help in the garden. I suppose he is - I never feel lonely with him around!
A bed of autumn leaves,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
The Scoop houshold has grown by one!
I had been thinking about it for a while, but after my alien encounter and almost-robbery, I knew it was finally time to get some back-up.
My next-door neighbour Saltwater Sky is a dog lover. He spent the better part of an afternoon trying to convince me to get a dog
"They’re better at guarding your house, Marzi," he assured me. But I shook my head. While I love ALL animals, I knew the pet I really wanted to bring home was a kitty.
I phoned the animal shelter. The kitten I picked would be vaccinated, washed and wormed before they brought him to my home. I could hardly wait!
At around 8:30pm, I was introduced to little Stark.
We hit it off immediately, diary. I think he’s going to bring me so much joy.
With kitten purs and mewls,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Fall is well and truly here now! It’s my favourite time of the year. Lime greens, burnt oranges and cherry reds!
My garden is growing beautifully. I made my first sale to the Aelview Grocery Store who told me I could keep bring in my produce! Simoleons, here I come!
I also got a letter from Flamingo Rose, requesting to buy whatever I had spare. He’s so kind! I have no idea what he’s going to do with all my spare apples, tomatoes and lettuce, but it’s the thought that counts!
On another note, splashing in puddles is something I love to do!
A splish-splashy day,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Just as I’m getting on my feet, a naughty burglar decided to try and knock me flat on my bottom again!
Well, I wasn’t having it.
I may look like a sweet and innocent girl, but underneath all that frosting is a brave sim who’s not afraid to take the law into her own hands if she feels threatened.
I survived an alien encounter… I wasn’t going to let a pesky burglar get the best of me.
I’m pleased to say she was promptly dispatched by this girl in her nightgown.
Hero of the little white box house,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Oh, if you could only see how well my little plants are doing! I know have succulent red tomatoes, bright red apples and cheeky little green lettuce thriving in my back garden.
Not long now until I can start earning some simoleons all of my very own!
With extra sugar,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
The most awful and shocking experience to date happened just an hour ago. Or was it longer? I’m not sure. Perhaps time moves differently in space.
I was drawn out into the front yard by the glow of some beautiful, strange lights. “The Northern Lights, here in Aelview?” I was wrong. Terribly wrong.
Before I knew it, I was sucked up by a strange ship. I remember nothing else. Just my little white feet hitting the pavement shortly after. My memories? Erased.
Am I still scared? I’m not sure. I think so… but for all I remember we could have been having a perfectly civilised tea party complete with cinnamon buns and extra-frosted cupcakes. I guess I’ll never know.
A slice of pie for you,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
I’ve had a productive few days. Though my waffles continue to burn despite all the love I pour into making them, my plants are starting to grow
Little shiny red apples, bulbous cherry tomatoes and sweet green lettuce will all be here soon. And Marzipan Scoop has grown them all on her own!
I also came across a darling little deer one evening when taking out the garbage. She was moseying around my little white box. It was a pleasure to meet her.
Sprinkles on top,
Marzipan Scoop
Wednesday, October 15, 2014
Diary, we spent hours together talking and being sweet until the storm was over. It’s the first time since arriving in Aelview that I haven’t felt as if there’s nobody to catch me if I fall. It’s silly since I’ve just met Flamingo Rose, but I feel that there’s a special connection between us.
I just wish he didn’t have to work so much. I’d love to spend some more time together.
I can’t wait to see what the near future holds, sweetpea!
Marzipan Scoop
Well, Diary, I couldn’t leave Flamingo just dawdling in my house. What kind of hostess would I be?
"These are brilliant. Did you take these?" Flamingo asked me, looking up at a set of pictures I’d taken back in my old town.
"Yes," I blushed. "There was a time when I wanted to be a photographer. But, now I’m not so sure. I don’t think that’s where my path leads."
"Why not?"
"I want to experience the world and all it has to offer through my own eyes. Not through a camera lense."
And I couldn’t help it, Diary… I kissed him! The way he was staring at me with those strawberry-dew eyes…
Marzipan Scoop
Diary, I promised I’d continue, didn’t I? Well, with the rain and all I quickly ushered Flamingo inside. He accepted with a smile.
Oh, Diary, I didn’t think that through, did I? Of course it was good manners… what else could I do? But the fact remained that I had never had a boy in my house on my own and my little white box wasn’t exactly dressed to impress just yet.
But still, there’s more to tell. As soon as I gather my sweet little thoughts some more.
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Do I have some exciting news!
I have to start at the beginning, though. My day was bright and cheerful until the toilet broke. I was waiting for the repairman when who happened to stroll by after finishing his shift at the pool? No other than Flamingo Heart.
"You could have just called me, Marzipan," he said. "I know what it’s like being out on your own for the first time."
Well, he was such a gentleman about it. I was actually a little disappointed when the repairman finally showed up!
"I promise next time," I said.
Just then, in perfect Aelview fashion, it began to rain. Hard!
I’ll tell you the rest in a little while, diary.
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
It’s always a good day when the ice cream man stops outside your house. As it so happens, he stops outside mine quite a lot. Maybe he knows I have a weakness for sugar and its sticky sweetness.
I began my planting today. Tomatoes, lettuce and apples all planted in a pretty little row! I can’t wait to see the little darlings begin springing up in my backyard.
City Hall was my next stop. I made another very adult decision today, diary, and registered myself as a self-employed gardener. Can you believe it? Me - Marzipan Scoop - officially employed and relying on her own!
Just in case I wasn’t up to the task, I ducked into the library to read up on ‘being your own boss’. It isn’t as hard as it sounds.
Until tomorrow, sugar!
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
You know that feeling you get when you realise you’ve forgotten something incredibly important? Well, I experienced that today. Tenfold. I didn’t have any seeds.
If I was going to make my way here in Aelview and survive more than a few days on my own, I was going to have to get those plants growing! And in order for plants to grow, they need to be planted. And in order for plants to be planted… well, you get my meaning. SEEDS. I NEEDED SEEDS.
My little white box happens to be situated only across the road from the general store. It was here I picked up some fruit and vegetable seeds to get me started.
Tomatoes, apples and lettuce were going to be my magical trio. They’re always in demand, even in a small town like this one.
Here’s to getting my hands dirty, sugar pie!Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
My first day in Aelview was a hot one! It’s summer here and I feel as if my hair could melt into a puddle of extra sweet sugar taffy.
One thing this town does have is a community pool. I thought I’d take the opportunity to cool down and get a glimpse at the locals.
I didn’t see many people out and about, but I did meet a very polite young man by the name of Flamingo Rose Heart who was manning the concession stand poolside. I bought a rainbow ice lolly from him and introduced myself.
As it so happens, we’re also neighbours. Flamingo lives with his sister Cotton Candy only up the pavement from my new home!
Things are already looking up, sugar sweet!
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
When I heard there were free plots of land up for grabs in the recently developed town of Aelview, I couldn’t help but sign up my name. I mean, I’m a young, brave sim who just wants to make a go of it on her own.
When I was accepted, I left my parent’s home with nothing but the clothes on my back and a small sum of money that I’d been squirreling away for months.
Now that I’m here, I can’t help but wonder if it was a mistake… a spur of the moment decision that has definitley put me in some hot water! I know nobody here… and let’s be honest, the population isn’t exactly booming even if I wanted to make a lot of friends. Now I have this… box… to live in and barely enough money for the essentials. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it certainly wasn’t this.
I’ve always had a green thumb and a love for the outdoors, so I guess I’ll do what I do best… start planting. Let’s hope this wasn’t the biggest mistake of my life.
Yours with sugar on top,
Marzipan Scoop

Introducing the Scoop Rainbowcy and its founder, Marzipan Scoop. Marzipan lives in a small white home with her small white cat, Candlewax. She loves the outdoors and gardening and plans to keep her rainbowcy afloat by selling her home-grown produce.
Edit: This is my original Marzipan. I modelled my current Rainbowcy founder off this one after I sadly had to change the skin! I also adjusted some of the rules of my challenge, so she was no longer able to have a pet going in to the lot.

Quinn thanks everyone for a great night. Another party that lasted until the early hours of the morning.
George and Quinn host another killer party. This time they decide to hire a bartender.
Sunday, October 5, 2014
George mans the bar expertly while Quinn chats with the girls.
The party doesn’t take long to get underway. Only George and Quinn’s very best friends are invited.
George cooks an excellent chicken dish which they all enjoy.

George & Quinn are moving!
Goodbye Potter’s Splay - hello Brook Bungalow!
I realised I hadn’t posted photos of their old house… so there they are at the top! As for the new one (shown bottom, obviously) I bulldozed the existing EA house… I wanted something modern and simple for their new abode. I spent a while on this house for them - and I’m really happy with it.
They’ve only moved nextdoor, because they love this little neighbourhood.
