Our cat, and Mum’s ‘first born’, Stark, passed away. He was pretty old, but we all loved him. He was such a big part of the family, too. Mum’s so torn up.
I don’t know if Gala and I will be getting any pets… it’ll be hard for any pet to live up to Stark.

Scoop Rainbowcy Outtakes | Christmas gift giving
Wednesday, December 24, 2014
Everyone exchanged gifts. I think the best gift, however, was just the whole family being there in our newly renovated house. Everyone welcomed Gala with open arms.
Merry Christmas!
The whole family awoke early and Gala decided she was going to be the one to host the gift giving party! It was so wonderful to see her so excited and getting involved in the family!
Apple Blossom and Raspberry of course attended, with Apple Blossom bringing an awesome blueberry pie. Dad was so happy to see her. Apparantly she’s dating an older man (no surprises, yet again, she’s always been off beat) but she won’t tell us who…

Stark has taking a liking to Dad all of a sudden. The two had never been close, but I think as they are both getting on in age, they’ve come to an understanding.
As for me, I’ve learnt to appreciate the little guy a lot more lately. He’s been a part of this family for longer than I have!

Mum still thinks she can handle as much work now as she could when she was younger. I keep trying to get her to relax, but she won’t have a bar of it. Those late nights in the garden tending the plants? She joins me. It’s so frustrating! I wish she’d be happy just sitting back and enjoying her retirement…
As for Dad, I think he’s going to miss having his chess partner, Apple Blossom, around after she graduates. The two of them are always out on the verandah trying to outwit each other. It’s a nightly ritual. I don’t know what he’ll do without her. He wouldn’t have made it as far in his career (he’s now Principal at my old school) without her to practice against.
As for Sweet Pea, she’s exercising her creative flair and painting up some pretty awesome paintings. Mum’s asked her to paint a picture of Stark soon as he’s getting on in years.

Gala and I graduated today. How about that?
I was never as smart as my older sister Raspberry was (I mean, she got freaking valedictorian upon graduating last year!) but I still stuck to my studies and managed to average an ‘A-’ at least throughout most of my high school years.
My classmates voted me ‘Most Likely to have a Large Family’ - ha! I guess they presume I’ll follow in Mum and Dad’s footsteps and bring six kids into Aelview, too. But if I’m being honest? Growing up in a large family was HECTIC. Maybe Gala will be okay with just one or two.
Anyway, the day was nice. I’m happy. Sweet Pea was particularly emotional. She’s definitley the softest of the triplets. The girls complained about the rain, but Mum and I shared a look that said ‘well, at least the garden will be loving it!’

Gala’s birthday was today. As her mum was out of town with her new husband, we decided to host it here at my house. Mum, Dad and the girls were more than happy to see her grow up alongside me… she’s already like family to them. I just hope one day I can get up the guts to make it official.
Gala’s braver than me (so much braver!) but she’s so beautiful… and now that she’s a young adult, I think she’s even more beautiful than before. I can’t believe my luck sometimes…

Scoop Rainbowcy Outtakes | Amaranth’s ‘coming-of-heir’ birthday
Dearest Diary,
This is my final entry. Well, it’s been sweet… the big day is finally here. My only son, Amaranth, is taking over the Scoop family legacy and will be carrying on mine and Flamingo’s work with his sweetheart, Gala Crisp.
I can say with surety that both Flamingo and I could not be prouder of all he has achieved.
We have lived a happy and full life, too, and feel that our exciting chapters are finally at an end.
I started here in Aelview with naught more than a small, white box to live in. I soon adopted a faithful kitty companion by the name of Stark and also married my first Aelview sweetheart, Flamingo Rose Heart.
Together we had six wonderful children; Raspberry, Amaranth, Apple Blossom and the triplets Hibiscus, Sweet Pea and Watermelon. Sweets, it was a challenge - but we did it. We’re all still here.
And what’s more? We now have this wonderfully large plot of land for our family to further build their dreams… I can’t wait to see what Amaranth and Gala have in store for themselves and all future Scoops!
Love forever,
Marzipan Scoop x

Dearest Diary,
With Amaranth’s birthday on the horizon, Flamingo has taken it upon himself to help me out in the garden to prove that we old sweets can still do something useful around the house!
Meanwhile, the girls are finding out that high school work can be much harder than their previously elementary school studies! All that comes with being a teenager!
With so many celebrations lately, the garden has been left a little unattended, so there’s a bit of work to catch up on. Nevermind, Flamingo and I will sort it all out before Amaranth’s big day…
Still a green thumb,

Remember that hot-dog eating contest I mentioned? Well the girls went head to head.
Poor little Watermelon was determined to win, but sadly her older sister Apple Blossom took out the title.
It was all Flamingo Rose could do to hold back his laughter! What lady-like daughters he has!
Yours in summer,

Dearest Diary,
Things are coming together! I phoned up about transferring the property over to Amaranth once he’s come of age and everything is set to go.
Amaranth is preparing for graduation and the girls are getting ready to make the transition to high school. I’ve had a call from Raspberry, too, and she’s doing well in her career in music.
I’m so very happy at this moment!
Yours in frosting,
Marzipan Scoop

Dearest Diary,
Today my Raspberry graduated! The whole family came out to the Aelview City Hall to see her class receive their diplomas. Our eldest Scoop was even awarded Valedictorian, as well as ‘Most Artistic’ by her classmates. Sweetness, we’re so proud!
But, Raspberry getting her diploma wasn’t the only big news of the day…
