Dearest Diary,

When I heard there were free plots of land up for grabs in the recently developed town of Aelview, I couldn’t help but sign up my name. I mean, I’m a young, brave sim who just wants to make a go of it on her own.

When I was accepted, I left my parent’s home with nothing but the clothes on my back and a small sum of money that I’d been squirreling away for months.

Now that I’m here, I can’t help but wonder if it was a mistake… a spur of the moment decision that has definitley put me in some hot water! I know nobody here… and let’s be honest, the population isn’t exactly booming even if I wanted to make a lot of friends.

Now I have this… box… to live in and barely enough money for the essentials. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it certainly wasn’t this.

I’ve always had a green thumb and a love for the outdoors, so I guess I’ll do what I do best… start planting. Let’s hope this wasn’t the biggest mistake of my life.
