Our cat, and Mum’s ‘first born’, Stark, passed away. He was pretty old, but we all loved him. He was such a big part of the family, too. Mum’s so torn up.
I don’t know if Gala and I will be getting any pets… it’ll be hard for any pet to live up to Stark.

Scoop Rainbowcy Outtakes | Christmas gift giving
Wednesday, December 24, 2014
Everyone exchanged gifts. I think the best gift, however, was just the whole family being there in our newly renovated house. Everyone welcomed Gala with open arms.
Merry Christmas!
The whole family awoke early and Gala decided she was going to be the one to host the gift giving party! It was so wonderful to see her so excited and getting involved in the family!
Apple Blossom and Raspberry of course attended, with Apple Blossom bringing an awesome blueberry pie. Dad was so happy to see her. Apparantly she’s dating an older man (no surprises, yet again, she’s always been off beat) but she won’t tell us who…

Gala and I spent some time alone tonight. I made some salad (my cooking skills are sadly limited…) and we got on our warmest clothes and did some stargazing on the front lawn.
I think the both of us are considering the prospect of marriage, but we’re both too shy to say anything about it just yet. After all, we just moved in together! I might have a word or two to Mum and ask her what she thinks.
I am certain that Gala is the one for me. I just have to get up my nerve!

We all love the new home renovations. Gala told me they were just perfect. As for Mum, she’s been loving the larger and more open kitchen. We all still have a place to gather and eat, and catch up, which is what we all wanted.
We have a lot of new things, but we still kept most of what we began with… things that were special to us.

Poor Hibiscus, she keeps falling in love with guys she can’t have. I asked her the other day how many guys she had a romantic interest in, and there were at least three.
Damien is dating our cousin, Hollie, so despite their BFF status, I’m worried about a repeat of mine and Gala’s romance there… As for her latest conquest, he’s a little too evil for our hopeless romantic triplet.
As her big brother, I just don’t want to see her hurt.

Mum asked Sweet Pea a few days ago to paint her a portrait of Stark, since Sweet Pea has been getting so good at her painting.
She finally started it today and Stark was more than happy to strike a pose for the canvas! We all can’t wait to see how the portrait turns out.

Stark has taking a liking to Dad all of a sudden. The two had never been close, but I think as they are both getting on in age, they’ve come to an understanding.
As for me, I’ve learnt to appreciate the little guy a lot more lately. He’s been a part of this family for longer than I have!

Apple Blossom graduated today. Like our eldest sister Raspberry, Apple Blossom also won class Valedictorian. None of us were surprised!
Mum was a little worried, however, when her third child won the ‘Most Likely to Take Over the World’ award. Apple Blossom got a little peeved when Mum decided to lecture her upon her departure.
I asked her to be careful a little more subtly. My words went over a little better.
Now it’s just the six of us! Until Gala moves in, of course.

It was Apple Blossom’s birthday today. My younger sister finally became an adult! She gained the Eccentric trait, which made her even more kooky! She also decided to ditch the messy crop cut and go back to her long hair!
The true middle child of the family, she was more than eager to get packing for her big move tomorrow…
I took it upon myself to learn a new skill today. My lifetime goal is to become perfectly skilled in at least THREE skills! Now that I’ve mastered gardening, I decided to move on to handiness. If Gala is going to move in, and we have a family of our own, I need to be able to do some things around our home.
I started with the girl’s upstairs shower, which was leaking. That wasn’t too hard and I managed to fix the leak quite quickly!
Then I thought, ‘why don’t I repair the family television’ next… bad idea… I got a little frazzled. Needless to say, I learnt my lesson. I’ll make sure I know a LOT more before attempting a difficult repair job again.
Thankfully Mum was able to come in and repair the rest of the television for me.

We were just tending to the gardens today (Watermelon has taken a bit of interest in the plants, too!) when Mum got a phone call. Guess what? She had to report to the Town Hall to collect a special services award for all the great produce she’s been supplying the town with!
We couldn’t be more proud of our mum!

Mum still thinks she can handle as much work now as she could when she was younger. I keep trying to get her to relax, but she won’t have a bar of it. Those late nights in the garden tending the plants? She joins me. It’s so frustrating! I wish she’d be happy just sitting back and enjoying her retirement…
As for Dad, I think he’s going to miss having his chess partner, Apple Blossom, around after she graduates. The two of them are always out on the verandah trying to outwit each other. It’s a nightly ritual. I don’t know what he’ll do without her. He wouldn’t have made it as far in his career (he’s now Principal at my old school) without her to practice against.
As for Sweet Pea, she’s exercising her creative flair and painting up some pretty awesome paintings. Mum’s asked her to paint a picture of Stark soon as he’s getting on in years.

I sat down with Mum and the youngest girls to talk about the future of the house today. I was a bit nervous, but Mum assured me that my sisters would support any decision I made as head of the family.
Dad had to go to work, but I know he’ll go along with whatever I decide. If not, Mum will whip him into shape soon enough. As Apple Blossom is graduating and moving out very soon, I knew whatever decision I made wouldn’t be affecting her.
Watermelon, Hibiscus and Sweet Pea surprised me. They were thrilled about the prospect of Gala moving in and even asked me how long it would be before I plucked up the guts to ask her to marry me!
"You realise Gala moving in would mean we’d have to go through some pretty exhausting renovations?"
"Oh, we’re counting on it!" said Watermelon. "We’ve been wanting a new room since we became teens!"

Mum and I sat down after graduation and talked about where our family is headed now that I’m taking over things.
"My time as head of the family has ended. What we do now is up to you. Do you want Gala to move in?"
"We were thinking about it. But the house would have to change, and I don’t know if the girls would be okay with that."
"They’ll understand. You need to talk to them."

Gala and I graduated today. How about that?
I was never as smart as my older sister Raspberry was (I mean, she got freaking valedictorian upon graduating last year!) but I still stuck to my studies and managed to average an ‘A-’ at least throughout most of my high school years.
My classmates voted me ‘Most Likely to have a Large Family’ - ha! I guess they presume I’ll follow in Mum and Dad’s footsteps and bring six kids into Aelview, too. But if I’m being honest? Growing up in a large family was HECTIC. Maybe Gala will be okay with just one or two.
Anyway, the day was nice. I’m happy. Sweet Pea was particularly emotional. She’s definitley the softest of the triplets. The girls complained about the rain, but Mum and I shared a look that said ‘well, at least the garden will be loving it!’

Gala’s birthday was today. As her mum was out of town with her new husband, we decided to host it here at my house. Mum, Dad and the girls were more than happy to see her grow up alongside me… she’s already like family to them. I just hope one day I can get up the guts to make it official.
Gala’s braver than me (so much braver!) but she’s so beautiful… and now that she’s a young adult, I think she’s even more beautiful than before. I can’t believe my luck sometimes…

Scoop Rainbowcy Outtakes | Amaranth’s ‘coming-of-heir’ birthday
So… I’m now a young adult.
Mum gave me this diary to write in, but I don’t want to be too mushy like she was. I want to tell you the facts and not sugarcoat it!
I adore Mum, but I’ll admit sometimes she gets carried away… being a Scoop isn’t a fantasy story. It’s hard work. Especially when the gardens need tending too amidst the constant downpours and frosts Aelview is currently experiencing.. but enough of that for now. This is meant to be a birthday entry.
Mum cried. Dad cheered. And my sisters seemed really pleased that I was the one our parents picked to take over the property - after all, none of them had any interest in gardening like I do. And Gala? Well, she seemed more than happy about my transition into young adulthood. To be honest I just hope she still likes me.

Dearest Diary,
This is my final entry. Well, it’s been sweet… the big day is finally here. My only son, Amaranth, is taking over the Scoop family legacy and will be carrying on mine and Flamingo’s work with his sweetheart, Gala Crisp.
I can say with surety that both Flamingo and I could not be prouder of all he has achieved.
We have lived a happy and full life, too, and feel that our exciting chapters are finally at an end.
I started here in Aelview with naught more than a small, white box to live in. I soon adopted a faithful kitty companion by the name of Stark and also married my first Aelview sweetheart, Flamingo Rose Heart.
Together we had six wonderful children; Raspberry, Amaranth, Apple Blossom and the triplets Hibiscus, Sweet Pea and Watermelon. Sweets, it was a challenge - but we did it. We’re all still here.
And what’s more? We now have this wonderfully large plot of land for our family to further build their dreams… I can’t wait to see what Amaranth and Gala have in store for themselves and all future Scoops!
Love forever,
Marzipan Scoop x

Dearest Diary,
With Amaranth’s birthday on the horizon, Flamingo has taken it upon himself to help me out in the garden to prove that we old sweets can still do something useful around the house!
Meanwhile, the girls are finding out that high school work can be much harder than their previously elementary school studies! All that comes with being a teenager!
With so many celebrations lately, the garden has been left a little unattended, so there’s a bit of work to catch up on. Nevermind, Flamingo and I will sort it all out before Amaranth’s big day…
Still a green thumb,
Marzipan Scoop
your sims and stories are so cute! i love the scoop rainbowcy and i was wondering if you were going to do an heir poll? or have you already decided? :)
Thank you so much!! :D I’m so glad you like their story - they are so much fun to play! I HAVE chosen the next heir for Gen2, and it will be our only boy Amaranth Rose - but I do plan on doing an heir poll next time the opportunity arises!
I am curious to know who everyone’s favourite of this generation is, though! It was SO TOUGH deciding since Flamingo wanted a big family as his lifetime wish… so many choices!

Watermelon aged up into a teenager!
She inherited the ‘Excitable’ trait.
And with that, the last of my children were now teenagers!
Amaranth’s birthday is just on the horizon, and I know I must then transfer all homely duties as well as diary writing over to him. I know he is ready, it’s just me who has to learn to let go!
Yours in birthday cake,
Marzipan Scoop
Last but not least was Watermelon…
Hibiscus aged into a teenager!
She gained the ‘Hopeless Romantic’ trait!
Remember that hot-dog eating contest I mentioned? Well the girls went head to head.
Poor little Watermelon was determined to win, but sadly her older sister Apple Blossom took out the title.
It was all Flamingo Rose could do to hold back his laughter! What lady-like daughters he has!
Yours in summer,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
It’s the triplet’s birthday tomorrow - so Flamingo Rose decided to take them, along with Apple Blossom, to the summer fair while Amaranth and I worked in the garden.
Their aunt, Cotton, was also there and the girls and Flamingo had a fantastic time roller-skating, jumping on the trampoline and fighting each other with water balloons…
Not to mention they entered a hot-dog eating contest…

Dearest Diary,
Things are coming together! I phoned up about transferring the property over to Amaranth once he’s come of age and everything is set to go.
Amaranth is preparing for graduation and the girls are getting ready to make the transition to high school. I’ve had a call from Raspberry, too, and she’s doing well in her career in music.
I’m so very happy at this moment!
Yours in frosting,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
Now that Raspberry is gone, it’s only a matter of time before Amaranth Rose has his birthday too and takes over the family home. I want to make sure everything is in tip-top shape for him!
Luckily, the money tree is coming along nicely. He should have an easier time than I did!
With sugar on top,
Marzipan Scoop

Dearest Diary,
Today my Raspberry graduated! The whole family came out to the Aelview City Hall to see her class receive their diplomas. Our eldest Scoop was even awarded Valedictorian, as well as ‘Most Artistic’ by her classmates. Sweetness, we’re so proud!
But, Raspberry getting her diploma wasn’t the only big news of the day…
Dearest Diary,
Today my eldest sweet, Raspberry, becomes a young woman. Flamingo Rose and I can scarcely believe our eyes. If not for our own creaky bones, we’d swear we were in a dream.
She’s told us she’s not staying… as soon as her graduation ceremony is over tomorrow, she’ll be moving out. Thankfully she’s staying in Aelview so we can keep an eye on her. It just so happens the new concert park has opened for business, so she’s going to try for a performance job there! We wish her the best of luck.
Amaranth is most sad to see her go…
Yours with extra frosting,
Marzipan Scoop
"Amaranth? It’s my birthday tomorrow and after that, graduation. I wanted to give you something before I left."
"Ras…"
"No, please. You were always my favourite, little brother."
"You won’t be staying?"
"No. Gardening is your thing, not mine. I wouldn’t know what to do with this house after Mum and Dad passed."
"What do you want to do?"
"I don’t know. Maybe something in showbusiness? I’ve always loved performing."

Dearest Diary,
My eldest sweet Raspberry is having a tough time. Her beau, Robin Marine, is sending her all kinds of mixed signals. The poor sweet doesn’t quite know what to do with all her feelings, so I suggested she start painting.
Flamingo Rose and I got her an easel and set it up on the second-floor landing. She’s been up there with a brush in hand every afternoon.
With Amaranth and Gala around all the time exchanging googly eyes, I don’t blame her. It makes her think of Robin and what she’d love them both to be.
With sugar on top,
Marzipan Scoop
"Thank you for a great date, Raspberry."
"I had fun, too."
"I want you to know how much I like you. I mean, I really do… it’s just that it’s important for me to get on the honour roll. I want, no NEED, to get into the military. Just like dad."
"I understand, Robin… I just wish we could see each other more often."
"Maybe after graduation… if you can wait for me until then."
Dearest Diary,
Flamingo Rose joined me in the Elder’s Club this afternoon. Having just been freshly promoted as Head of the English Department at the High School, he walked through the door to find his entire family waiting with a birthday cake.
"Oh, no… can we just NOT have my birthday?" he groaned. He wasn’t looking forward to becoming an old man.
After he’d aged up, I told him it was finally his turn to have white hair, too.
Old together,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
It’s such a joy to see Amaranth getting better and better at chess. He’s also teaching the kids. Sweet Pea especially loves it and can even beat her dad sometimes!
Yes, Flamingo got the job at the High School. I’m so proud - I knew he could do it! He also has the chance to be Head of Department if he’s willing to work for it.
It’s not so bad pulling weeds when family’s close by.
With love,
Marzipan Scoop

Dearest Diary,
Even though I’m an elder now, I’m trying to keep up with my old self. There’s still so much to see and do in our little town of Aelview, and I want to explore it all before my time is up.
I’ve taken it upon myself to collect as many seeds as I can find around the place and begin planting. Hopefully whichever of my sweets takes over house has a better start than I did in my little white box.
Busy planting day and night,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
It was the triplet’s first day of school today. It was also raining! Still, I made it my goal to see them off.
"But what if I don’t do well?" worried Sweet Pea.
"You’ll do excellently, sweets," I told her. "I know you’re very smart!"
Raspberry told me later that she worried all the way on the bus, too.
As for Flamingo, he’s been asked to improve his chess and logic skills as there’s an opening for a High School Teacher at Raspberry, Amaranth’s and Apple Blossom’s school. I just know he can do it!
Yours in rainy weather,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
My black sheep, Apple Blossom, had her birthday today. She insisted she didn’t want a party or a cake.
"I just want Holly Sherbet and Gala."
Not even Flamingo Rose or myself!
Well, if anything, now that she’s a teenager, she’s going to be even more rebellious!
She rolled the ‘Brave’ trait, too! It runs in the family.
Dearest Diary,
It was my birthday today… there’s not really much to say other than SWEETNESS, I FEEL OLD. Still, it was a lovely day and I was surrounded by family.
Flamingo assures me that I’m still beautiful. After all, I’ve always had white hair!
Not (too) old,
Marzipan Scoop
Dearest Diary,
What a whirlwind week it’s been… but after an exhausting ride, I can finally tell you that Gala and Amaranth are finally a couple. Apparantly all it took was for Amaranth to finally confess his feelings towards Gala. Sweetness, teenage boys…
Flamingo Rose heard from his sister, Cotton, that Kendrick isn’t taking his breakup with Gala too well. I guess my poor Amaranth is going to have to look out for his cousin from now on!
Completely burnt out,
Marzipan Scoop
"So have you got a date to prom yet, Gala? I’m hoping Robin Marine will ask me… but he says he’s got to focus on his grades if he wants to get into the military."
"Robin’s a nice guy, I’m sure he means well! As for me? I’m going with Kendrick. Kendrick Cobbler. We’ve been seeing each other for a few weeks now!"
Later…
“Amaranth, it’s Raspberry. Gala’s boyfriend is Kendrick Cobbler. OUR COUSIN, Kendrick Cobbler!”
"What!"
Scoop Rainbowcy Outtakes | Farewell to the toddler stage until Gen2!
Dearest Diary,
My kitten, Stark, is now an elder. I can’t believe how quickly it’s happened! It seems like just yesterday I met him out on the front yard of my little white box house… just the two of us.
Everyone celebrated. After all, he’s been here since before any of the sweets were born and they’ve all grown up with him alongside them! Even Amaranth’s friend, Gala, was there. Stark was certainly spoiled.
The cat condo the sweets bought him is fantastic. I just know it’s going to bring him so much joy in his later years!
Getting older, too,
Marzipan Scoop
"How do you like it? We all pitched in! We know you’ve wanted your own cat condo for ages now! Happy Birthday!"
"MEOW!"
"Meow… Meow… MEOOOW!"
"Oh, Stark!" groaned Raspberry. "I’ll be up in a minute."
"STARK!" squealed Apple Blossom. "I’m awake! I didn’t forget it was your birthday today. Come with me, we can play until the others get up. And then you can have your present!"
Wednesday, November 5, 2014
"If we all pool our weekly allowances together, I think we can afford that present for Stark…"
